Moulsford welcomed Sonning Common for a 35 over match. After winning the toss, skipper Andrew Moss elected to field, which proved fruitful with wickets falling in the first and fourth overs.

An excellent decision was made to open with spin and Craig Ryan (2-35) kept the Sonning Common top order pinned down. Craig was ably assisted by Charlie Littledale (2-32), Liam Ryan (1-4), Ben Ralphs (0-13 off 7) and Ben Goss (the pick of the bowlers with 3-19).Wickets fell steadily throughout the innings, however Sonning Common’s N Pitson scored an aggressive and decisive 75. Sonning Common finished on a daunting 154, in overcast and damp conditions.
Moulsford’s reply stuttered somewhat with the top order struggling in difficult batting conditions, but Charlie Littledale (15), Craig Ryan (22) & Ben Goss with an excellent 54 N.O. steadied the ship. Sonning Common’s mixture of medium pace, spin, and excellent fielding restricted the run chase. Moulsford were restricted to 116 for 6 in 35 overs, falling short by 38 runs
An excellent game was played in great spirit and enjoyed by both sides.
