In warm sunshibe, a timed game was agreed with Goring who have not played Moulsford for many years. Goring won the subsequent toss and elected to bat.

It was an afternoon of missed chances with half a dozen or so chances going down. It could have resulted in a very different game but as a result of these drops, the Goring openers went on to make 100 (retired) and 70 (retired).

It was not until the welcome return of Paul Gilmore to the bowling attack that we actually managed to take a wicket (Paul ended up with both wicket). Goring ended up on a formidable 216 for 2.

Moulsford began their reply well with returning Will Perry amassing a quick 23 before being beaten by a great ball. James Coleman again scored quickly and well before getting run out for a very useful 32 (it was his call!).

Then began the collapse and with about 10 overs remaining the situation was looking precarious. Batsmen came and went and it was not until Paul Gilmore joined Ben Goss that things settled a bit. Paul battled hard for an excellent 13 runs before realising that his sprint speed needs some work as he too got ran out.

Ben Goss contunued to occupy the crease and with one over remaining we were 8 wickets down. Doddy was given a dubious LBW on the third ball of the over leaving Luca Gwoing to face 3 balls to draw the game - this he duly achedived and the match was drawn.

Some fielding practice required but a spirited and stubborn performance.
